Two upcoming shows that I am really excited about.

August 14 at Sight School

I will be performing at Sigh School Gallery in Oakland CA.
This is an exciting opportunity where I will be able to work with some new ideas I have been figuring out and I am planning on using a quadraphonic setup. I will be performing in collaboration with Joshua Churchill and Paul Clipson doing film.

October 2 at Baer Ridgway Exhibitions in San Francisco CA

I was asked by artist Chris Duncan to participate in a series of events that will be occurring during his solo show at the gallery. I will be setting up in the downstairs gallery surrounded by his photographs and installation. I plan to create a piece that is informed and inspired by his work and the ideas he was working with in creating the body of work.

New Happenings

There are two new releases coming out.

The first will be released on June 30th by Mars Pyramid Records based out of Burlington Vermont. I really dig the aesthetic they have been working with and I think it works very well with the music. Check it out here

Also to be released in the near future is a split cassette on Accidie / Gifts Nobody Wants Records. It will be an Orbless/Chen Santa Maria split and I am really excited for this one as well, the artwork for it looks great.

New releases

I have a couple new releases coming out very soon. Dream Root Recordings, out of Ohio is releasing a split tape with myself and Derek Rogers. It is a c-60 and I am very excited about it. Updates

I have been very busy working on new material. For Slaughtering Dolphins, I have a tape coming out on Cavelife, out of LA, titled "The Tropics", all inspired by research I did into maritime history. That release is all material that was recorded throughout 2008. I have also been very busy with my other project, Liminal Planes, which I have been very stoked on. It is the duo of myself and Eric (of Phantom Pains). We have been recording and working out material for releases and for a west coast tour this summer. We have had our label (Beach House Records) going for a short time and have new tapes ready to go for that. Coming soon to Beach House are: A new Liminal Planes self titled tape, A Phantom Pains tape titled "Disappointment After Disappointment", and a Slaughtering Dolphins tape entitled "Lift Me Out". These three releases should be ready to go out as a whole in May. I have also been recording other new material that will be coming out later in the year. I have a William Blake inspired work that is pretty much done and I am also in the very early stages of a conceptual work that will probably take a few years, details will be revealed eventually.

Upcoming Shows for February

We are having a show at our house Saturday February 7th. With Moment Trigger (LA), Rale (LA-Bay), Lemon Bear (OAK), and Hrs/Dys (San Diego). 9pm


My Band Liminal Planes is also playing a show on Febraury 14th at the Terminal in Oakland. We will be playing with Marble Sky (Jeff Witscher) and Even Miller (both Iowa City) and George Chen. This will be a great show.
